FACT NUMBER #1

At the beginning of the film, when Red asks the two birds what they think about the birthday cake he delivered them, he asks them how many stars they rate the cake out of three.This is a reference to the game,The highest score you can get is three stars.

FACT NUMBER #2

As Red is trying to cross the street,a bird wearing a black turtleneck sweater is working at the Apple Store under a apple tree in the background,which is a nod to Steve jobs.

FACT NUMBER #3

The tickets for the concert hosted by the pigs on Bird Island are tickets for "Daft Piggy" or "Steve Aoinky", a reference to famous electronic DJs Steve Aoki and Daft Punk. The pigs even wear costumes similar to those of the bands.

When Matilda is picked to be launched at the pigs' castle before Bomb, he makes the remark, "Always a bridesmaid". This is a subtle nod to Matilda's voice actress Maya Rudolph, who starred in the 2011 film Bridesmaids.
